People in Mockava Terminal – special assignment team that was created to develop the cargo reloading services in a unique place on the only direct border-crossing railway connection between Lithuania and Poland on the newly built Rail Baltica route.
Our team has more than 5 years experience in daily operating liquid fuel terminals. We had an opportunity to work with different customers from the region: Baltic States, Poland, Germany, Czech Republic, CIS Countries, and with different oil products such as diesel, gasoline, FAME and other fuel components.
We share key principles in everything we do:
Mockava Terminal develops a unique 40 ha land plot, dedicated for cargo reloading and logistics services, located on the premises of Mockava railway station.
Mockava railway station – the only station in Lithuania, that has direct connection to the railway network of Poland and serves as a gateway for the Baltic States to EU railway system.
Mockava Terminal perfectly fits for reloading and transportation of any kind of products. Goods from here can be delivered in just a few days anywhere in Europe: to Poland, Germany or Baltic countries, using the modern Rail Baltica railway. On the other hand, Mockava terminal has convenient road transportation links within a reach:
2 strategic international transport corridors and their branches run across the territory of Lithuania:
The modern Rail Baltica railway stretching across the Baltic countries will link Poland, the Baltic countries and Finland, and improve the Central and Eastern European connection with Germany adding the railway transportation to the available means for moving the goods.
Lithuania is a convenient transit route, linking Western Europe with the markets of CIS, China and other Asian countries, because both types of railway track are already available in its territory: the European standard (1345 mm) gauge and the Russian standard (1520 mm) gauge.
The implemented part of Rail Baltica project back in 2016 made Lithuanian railway infrastructure an integral part of the North Sea – Baltic Sea Railway Freight Corridor (EU Transport Corridor No. 8) to the Western European ports of North Sea.
With 4 border-crossing stations with Latvia, 2 border-crossing stations with Belarus and 2 border-crossing stations with Russia (Kaliningrad area), Lithuanian railway system has only 1 border-crossing station with Poland and the rest of the EU.
Before modernisation of the railway infrastructure within the scope of Rail Baltica project, Klaipeda port served as the main and only hub in Lithuania for reaching even the non-distant markets of Western Europe without transiting non-EU countries.
Today, with the EU standard (1435 mm) rail gauge operational in Lithuanian railway stations, goods can move between Eastern Europe or Asia and Western Europe choosing the most convenient mode of transportation.
