August 9, 2017 – State Authorities Commission Issued ACT OF COMPLETION for the Construction of Oil Products Terminal

Phase 1 of the Oil Products Terminal is ready to go on-line

State Authorities Commission, formed to inspect the completion and quality of construction and installation works performed in Mockavos Terminalas, officially signed the ‘Act of Completion’ document on August 9, 2017. This event represents the finish of construction Phase 1 in Oil Procucts Terminal at Mockavos terminalas.

The Phase 1 of the completed construction works in the Oil Products Terminal represents:

  • -> 4 light oil products storage tanks (flexible multi-product usage) with total capacity of 10 000 cbm;
  • -> 2 separate railway access roads more than 700 m length each (EU and RU gauge width);
  • -> railway rack with 5000 cbm per day unloading and 4000 cbm per day loading capacity (simultaneous both-directional operations possible on any of the rail gauge);
  • -> tank truck loading rack with 5000 cbm per day loading capacity.

Phase 2 of the development of the Terminal, scheduled to come on-line by spring 2018, foresees:

  • -> expansion of the storage capacity to 14 000 cbm (adding 2 x 1000 cbm tanks and 1 x 2000 cbm tank);
  • -> extension of the range of products, that are possible to handle in the Terminal;
  • -> increase in flexibility of performance and total loading capacity.

Mockavos Terminalas – the first and only Light Oil Products Terminal on the direct border-crossing point between Lithuania and Poland. It serves the direct, efficient, secure and cost-effective way to access the EU railway system from the Eastern railway standard, being the unique “within EU” Member States border-crossing point for liquid fuels transfer.
